BlueberriesIn the recent years, in my experience, I have witnessed the plated meal be pushed back into the darkness only be replaced by your buffet or non-traditional stationed experience. This leads me to think that the plated meal, how it used to exist is going away. Organizations are requesting more variety through a buffet optioned meal, or food stations to give more options to their attendees. Although the plated food option does work in some scenario’s, it seems to be losing its “bang” factor with attendees. I must say, when planning a plated function, it is getting increasingly challenging to come up with that one perfect meal that can be enjoyed by many. Food stations and buffets always are a more logical way out – if the event structure allows for it. So, what are your thoughts? Have you also seen variety play more of a role in your food selection?
